Medical Thermography: A new diagnostic tool

Thermography is unique in that it can act as both a diagnostic and preventative measure. The thermogram displays your unique biochemical profile as revealed by precise skin temperature measurements over various organs. The capacity of organs to function is known as their ability to regulate through the thermogram. Detailed and well-focused needs in your body are revealed, and doctors can therefore provide recommendations specific to your needs.

Regulation thermography can provide early hints of malignancies, and recognize malfunctions before they reach a pathological state. Regulation thermography acts as a diagnostic tool and reveals patterns of healthy or unhealthy conditions in specific areas.

The skin temperature of 90 points on the head and upper body is measured and recorded by computer, which provides a profile that is unique to you and the conditions of your body and organs. The thermogram can reveal areas of stressed or toxic tissues that you may not have been aware of, and that other diagnostic tools may not reveal.

Regulation thermography is a non-nvasive procedure. The skin temperatures taken by the therapist are actually indications of the activity of the organs beneath the skin. Depending on the condition of the organs, small blood vessels between the organs and the skin will either contract (cooling the skin) or expand (heating it). Two measurements are taken, and the differences in temperature of the two measurements provide indications as to the status of your organs that actually precede disease states.

Before treatment begins, you will be asked to sit in a fairly cool, but not uncomfortable room for 10-15 minutes. The therapist will then take the first skin temperature measurements, in the head, jaw and neck areas. The temperature is taken by a single gentle touch of the probe to the surface of your skin, and the information is recorded by computer.

The next step of the treatment requires you to remove your clothes from the waist up. Your exposure to the temperature of the room acts as a controlled "stress", and the effect of this stress is tested through temperature measurements on the chest, abdomen and back.

You will then be asked to sit as you are, exposed to the room air for ten more minutes to complete the effects of stress. According to clinical research, it takes ten minutes for your body to stabilize and for the reactions of the internal organs to affect the skin. After the ten-minute period, the therapist will repeat all the measurements.

Once the measurements are completed, the results are printed out in the form of a thermogram, which reveals the level at which your organs and their control systems are operating.

Medicine has successfully used this new diagnostic tool to identify early patterns of malignancy, inflammation, artery blockages or poor circulation, digestive problems (diverticulitis, mycosis, putrefaction, etc), allergies, sinusitis, dental problems, toxicity and acute/chronic disease.  The benefit of this diagnostic tool is that it gives accurate assessment without having to be exposed to a series of long drawn out  tests.

 Vascular Testing

Heart attack and stroke are the number one killers in North America. Prior to now there has been no effective non-invasive way to determine risk. Vascular testing is the most cost-effective way to determine risk with vascular flexibility. Vascular testing measures blood pressure, records pulse, pulse pressure (systolic minus diastolic blood pressure), and provides additional cardiovascular information (Arterial Stiffness Index - ASI) for the doctor. The ASI is a number that correlates with a tendency towards arteriosclerosis. The higher the ASI the more likely someone has arteriosclerosis. Blood pressure provides important clinical information on the blood circulation system since the actual blood pressure level is a function of cardiovascular dynamics that are determined by the strength of the heartbeat and the overall condition of the arterial system.
Vascular testing with blood work consists of cholesterol, triglycerides, HDL/LDL, and creatinine. Blood work interpretation is based on the ongoing Framingham Heart Study (started in 1949 and still going) that identifies the major risk factors for heart disease and calculates percentage risk of a coronary event in the next 10 years based upon this study of 5205 individuals over more than 50 years.

When performed at our clinic, the costs of these tests are not covered by the socialized health insurance system or by most private health insurance plans.
